Drive FORE The Troops is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 2021 by Darrin and Chris Anderson to support active duty military personnel, veterans, and their families. Both Chris and Darrin attended the U.S. Military Academy (classes of 1988 and 1989 respectively), and Darrin is a combat veteran of Desert Shield and Desert Storm.

Support our troops and their families by sustaining the many programs supported by Drive FORE The Troops!

Join us on Thursday, November 6th and Friday, November 7th, 2025 for two action-packed days of golf and camaraderie as we play two of Greensboro’s most challenging courses

SEDGEFIELD COUNTRY CLUB – Designed in 1926 by Donald Ross, Sedgefield Country Club is home to the PGATOUR Wyndham Championship.

THE CARDINAL BY PETE DYE – The stunning and challenging Cardinal was designed by Pete Dye and will test the skills of beginners and advanced golfers.

Players will be placed into one of two flights based on handicaps.
1st and 2nd place teams in each flight will be presented trophies & cash.

Format: 4-player Shamble (both days):

  • All players tee off and play their second shot from the point of the best drive
  • The hole is played out at stroke play, with all members of the team playing their own ball
  • Lowest two scores on each hole will be recorded
  • Handicaps will be used to create flights

Meals: Lunch & Dinner Provided Both Days

  • Box Lunches on both playing days
  • Live Auction, Prizes, Dinner & Awards at Sedgefield Country Club
    on Thursday, November 6
  • Awards & Cookout at The Cardinal Golf Club on Friday, November 7
